In how the world works, how can we stop and revisit captured memories moments after they are gone?

One word: Photographs.

As a second-year college student, I took chances to push out of my comfort zone and do things I never thought before. Fascinated by cameras, I played around with cameras. Initially, I saw photos as a way to direct people or capture a scene for a purpose. But, it is much more than that. Photography is all about telling a story. Behind the lens, you have the full range. To take people on a journey, reach out and make viewers feel something they never thought was possible. It is an outlet to make voices be heard, connect people, and shed light on any and everything. I found this as a way to understand how the world is, artistically. Looking back, I never anticipated how much fun photography could be! This new experience activated and tapped into aspects I did not even know existed. In a way, it is storytelling through captured moments.

With a camera and a bit of practice, anything is possible!

Almost every day, I am always watching YouTube videos, talking with other photographers, asking questions, taking pictures of anything, sharing with people, reaching out for advice and feedback. As a photographer, my curiosity, passion, and willingness to learn have become influential. My advice to anyone interested: start with your cell phone. The camera quality is a great foundation and you can upgrade later. Practice daily. For editing software, check out any free applications offered that you may like. When challenges come, remember why you are doing this. These points are signals for improvement and growth.

Have an open mind, and remember the work is worth it. In today’s technological time, we live in an age where it is truly possible!
