Helping Club teens make real plans for their career dreams through career exploration tools and a hub of resources that help kids learn more about exploring and paying for college.
Since 2021, Navient has supported Boys & Girls Clubs of America in building great futures for young people nationwide. As a leader in technology-enabled education finance and business processing solutions that simplify complex programs and help millions of people achieve success, Navient is committed to making a meaningful difference in its communities and working to advance opportunities for all young people.
With Navient’s support and expertise, Boys & Girls Clubs of America has launched a brand-new career exploration tool, Roadmap to Careers, on the MyFuture platform, the organization’s digital youth engagement platform. Navient has curated a hub of resources that helps Club teens learn more about exploring and paying for college, available through the MyFuture platform.
In the first year of the partnership, Navient teamed up with Boys & Girls Clubs, utilizing their knowledge and expertise in post-secondary education exploration and financial readiness, to develop a one-of-a-kind digital resource for young people in Clubs across the country. Made available in late 2021, the new resource is a part of the organization’s Diplomas to Degrees curriculum and features six interactive activities to assist young people in preparing to pay for college.
Navient continues to support increased implementation of these career exploration and college readiness tools at Clubs in their local communities, and across the country.
In 2022 and 2023, Navient is continuing to promote career exploration and college readiness by serving as the Lead Sponsor for Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Keystone Program and National Keystone Conference. The Keystone Program is the organization’s premier teen character and leadership program for ages 14-18 that focuses on academic success, career preparation, and community service, in order for teens to grow into responsible, productive and caring adults.
Navient has a deep commitment to giving back, and so does its team. Through Navient’s Elevate program employees are encouraged to take paid time off to volunteer in their communities where it is needed the most. As part of our partnership, Navient is working with Boys & Girls Clubs across the country through a robust employee engagement program that leverages relationships with local Clubs to impact youth in the communities in which Navient employees live and work.
