The Hartford In 2017, Boys & Girls Clubs of America and The Hartford partnered to open 30 College & Career Centers across the United States over the course of three years. With its $3 million commitment to Boys & Girls Clubs of America, The Hartford become the founding partner of BGCA’s workforce readiness initiatives.
College & Career Centers are dedicated spaces where teens can access resources as they prepare a plan for a successful future after high school graduation whether that means starting college, a vocational trade or another career path. The centers have updated technology, regular college and career preparation activities and dedicated staff that serve as mentors.
Additionally, The Hartford was the presenting sponsor of the College & Career Expo at Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s annual teen leadership conference from 2017 to 2019. The partnership also allowed Boys & Girls Clubs of America to enhance its Career Launch digital resources, reaching 70,000 teens per year.
