ATLANTA, GA – FEB 7, 2022 – Following an unprecedented donation from Dale Larson and his family, Boys & Girls Clubs of America announced an additional $10 million gift to support kids and teens.

Dale Larson is the retired CEO and President of Larson Manufacturing Company, the nation’s leading manufacturer of storm doors and storm windows. Loyal supporters of local Boys & Girls Clubs for many decades, Larson and his family are expanding their support across the country, helping more kids and teens in America grow into confident, capable adults.

Firm believers that every young person should have an equal opportunity to succeed, Dale and his wife, Pat, chose to live their lives by the adage “Do unto others as you would have them do to you.” They believed that this simple phrase captures love, hope, kindness, generosity, justice, fairness, equality and compassion – qualities they felt are key to living a happy life and are a core component of Boys & Girls Clubs.

“Kids today, more than ever, need the support of a place like Boys & Girls Clubs. In communities across the country, they are providing support to over 4.3 million youth to build brighter futures for our nation, and we are honored to do our part in contributing to this mission,” says Larson.

The Larson Family’s investment will allow Clubs to continue to expand their services and outreach to more youth, strengthening future readiness and resilience both inside and beyond Club walls. The donation will also support Club CEO recruitment efforts, ensuring local Clubs are led by transformational leaders to build, main and sustain strong local organizations.

Boys & Girls Clubs are committed to helping young people stay on track in the midst of change. Clubs are embedded in their communities, providing them with safe in-person and online spaces and the key ingredients kids and teens need to reach their full potential. In fact, in a recent survey conducted by Boys & Girls Clubs of America, 95% of Club members say the adults at their Club believe that they will be a success.

“We are so grateful for the generosity and support Dale and the Larson Family Foundation have shown to our organization throughout the years. Beyond an investment to our organization, donations like this are a direct reflection of our shared vision to do whatever it takes to help young people reach their full potential,” said Jim Clark, president and CEO, Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
