Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Knorr® are joining forces to make nutritious food accessible to families across the country. Through a series of educational cooking classes, Knorr and Boys & Girls Clubs of America will equip Club families with essential cooking skills and wellness education to help them thrive.

Knorr’s support of the organization’s Healthy Habits program is helping to improve the health and well-being of children in our communities. The Healthy Habits program addresses the many ways an individual's health behaviors are influenced by personal beliefs and exposure to positive modeling. By combining Boys & Girls Clubs of America's proven health and wellness program with Knorr's long-standing leadership advocating for accessible nutrition, the two organizations hope to positively impact the lives of thousands of families across the country.

The partnership officially kicked off with a cooking demonstration at Mosholu Montefiore Community Center (MMCC) Boys & Girls Clubs in Bronx, NY, led by chef, Millie Peartree. The class offered participants nutrition education while inspiring the next generation of chefs to create nutritious, budget-friendly meals for their families.

Students from the MMCC Boys & Girls Club’s Train & Earn Culinary Program prepared Knorr’s Teriyaki Chicken and Lettuce Wraps during their demonstration with Millie. The program prepares students for various entry-level positions in the food service industry. Practical, hands-on activities in a commercial kitchen, like the cooking demonstration, provide opportunities for students to master the skills required for employment.

“Working in the kitchen and following Chef Millie gave me a glimpse of what it's going to be like in a real kitchen,” said Mike C., a participant in the cooking demonstration. “Chef Millie was the head chef giving orders and following it was our job. I learned that there's a lot of teamwork and efficiency needed for a kitchen to work.”

A series of cooking demonstrations with Knorr and Boys & Girls Clubs of America will be hosted at an additional 21 Clubs across the country.

Knorr has a global ambition to get food that is good for people and the planet onto 7 billion plates by 2025. Together with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, they are working to turn that goal into a reality. For more information on the partnership, visit www.knorr.com/purpose.
