Giving Club kids access to a tool for combating childhood anxiety.
As we near the season of giving back, Boys & Girls Club alum Vicki Mayo is paying it forward. Vicki began going to the Club in 1998 because she saw how happy and how much fun the kids were having at her local Boys & Girls Club after-school. She wanted to be a part of the action! Vicki is forever grateful for her experience at the Boys & Girls Club of Sedona because it enabled her to explore her passions like art and development leadership and communication skills that have helped shape her into the successful entrepreneur she is today.
Today, Vicki is the CEO of The TouchPoint Solution, and she is very passionate about helping young people navigate adolescence. Between peer pressure, bullying, fitting in, homework and other challenges kids face each day, being a kid can be tough. In fact, 25% of teenagers struggle with anxiety. To help combat this statistic, Vicki’s company created TouchPoints – wellness wearables that help reduce stress. Paying it forward, Vicki and TouchPoint are donating up to $10,000 worth of Touch Points to Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation as a tool for helping combat childhood anxiety.
