We are at a time when 11.3 million school age children are home without adult supervision after school, one out of six students fail to graduate on time and nearly half of youth don’t believe the American dream is possible. But we know it doesn't have to be this way.
Among teen-aged Club members, 97% expect to graduate from high school.

Thank you to everyone who made Virtual National Days of Advocacy 2022 a major success! We had over 630 participants representing all 50 states plus D.C., Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Guam and American Samoa! Advocates had over 405 meetings with members of Congress and their staff, sharing their stories on how Boys & Girls Clubs have a positive impact on youth and communities across the country. The time kids spend out of school, is critical for helping provide essential support to young people, closing existing educational opportunity and achievement gaps for underserved students; and for keeping communities safe and prospering.
Kids and teens can’t learn if they don’t feel safe. Every child must feel safe physically and emotionally, not just in Clubs but everywhere, so that they can learn and grow.
Young people are constantly faced with health and behavior choices. Making heathy decisions centered on physical and emotional wellness starts with good judgment, something Clubs teach every day.
A skilled and robust workforce is essential to the future of America’s economy. Young people of all backgrounds, especially those who have been traditionally underrepresented, must be equipped with the knowledge, skills and experiences needed to be successful in school, career and life.
When every young person has access to out-of-school time opportunities, when they’re safe and healthy and when they have essential skills, that is how we can ensure equity and inclusion.
