Chair Executive, Boys & Girls Clubs of America Board of Governors

Myron Gray has been involved with Boys & Girls Clubs of America since 2008. He served as a National Trustee for the organization’s Southeast Region, including as its chair from 2011 to 2016.  He was elected to BGCA’s National Board of Governors in 2011, and began a two-year term as its national chair in January 2017. As the national chair, he represents 4,300 Boys & Girls Clubs that serve nearly 4 million young people annually through Club membership and community outreach. Clubs are located in cities, towns, public housing and on Native lands throughout the country, and serve military families in BGCA-affiliated Youth Centers on U.S. military installations worldwide. Mr. Gray is also a champion of UPS Road Code, a safe driving program for Boys & Girls Club teens based on safety training used with UPS drivers. Since 2009, the program has provided over 25,000 teens with invaluable driving lessons.

Mr. Gray is president of U.S. Operations for UPS, where he began his career as a part-time package handler in 1978. Throughout his UPS career, he has held positions of increasing responsibility in industrial engineering, human resources, business development and operations, including leading the expansion of express delivery and logistics services into markets such as Mexico and Brazil. He is an active participant in the Black Executive Exchange Program sponsored by the National Urban League, a director of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, and a member of the Dillard University Board of Trustees. Mr. Gray holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Memphis and has completed advanced management programs at INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, and the Yale School of Business.
