Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Toyota believe in making life easier for those who need us most and helping young people chart a path to a great future.
Since 2007, Toyota has partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to provide life-changing experiences for Club members, awarding more than $2.4 million in academic scholarships and supporting signature initiatives including Workforce Readiness and Youth of the Year.
As a founding sponsor of BGCA’s Workforce Readiness Strategy, Toyota’s investment supports essential skill development, career exploration and work-based learning opportunities for Club youth. The partnership is helping close the job-readiness gap by preparing youth for success in their first job and developing a plan to pursue the career of their dreams.
Additionally, Toyota is providing career exploration opportunities through its program, T-TEN (Technician Training Education Network), a partnership of community colleges, vocational schools and Toyota and Lexus dealerships to provide industry-leading automotive technician training. Toyota and BGCA are working to adapt a version of the program focused on automotive career exploration for Boys & Girls Clubs and community partners.
As a Signature Sponsor of Youth of the Year, Toyota is committed to partnering with BGCA to ensure Boys & Girls Clubs provide life-enhancing opportunities for kids and teens to explore, develop and apply essential skills they need to be successful. Youth of the Year representatives are the workforce leaders, innovators and problem-solvers of tomorrow. In addition to sponsoring Youth of the Year, Toyota has provided each National Youth of the Year with a new Toyota Corolla since 2010, as well as financial support to offset the costs of owning a car.
Toyota, the world's top automaker and creator of the Prius, is committed to building vehicles for the way people live through our Toyota, Lexus and Scion brands. Over the past 50 years, we've built more than 25 million cars and trucks in North America. Toyota builds more than just great cars. It helps build strong communities by partnering with philanthropic organizations across the country, with a focus on education, safety and the environment. Toyota has donated nearly $1.1 billion to U.S. charities over the past 60 years and shares its production know-how with nonprofits to help them find better ways of doing their work. Learn more.
