Panda Cares Foundation is the charitable arm of Panda Express. Since 2020, the foundation has partnered with Boys & Girls Clubs of America to foster academic success among Club members across the country, providing over $13 million in funding as well as in-kind donations of books, meals and other resources to support academic wellbeing.
With the reality that not all youth have access to quality education, Panda has aligned with BGCA to allow youth equal opportunities to learn, lead and thrive. Panda is also aligned with BGCA’s strategic plan to increase the quality of academic success programming in Clubs.
In 2021, Panda Cares became BGCA’s largest single-year corporate partner with an investment of $8.785 million. Through Panda Cares’ investment, Clubs receive funding to provide high-quality academic programming to youth in need. Panda Cares and BGCA will empower thousands of youth at Clubs across the country to excel in school, character and leadership.
Panda Cares commemorates its anniversary on August 8, also known as Panda Cares Day, with a celebration of giving back. Each year, Panda Cares dedicate the day to kids nationwide, bringing joy and fun to our local communities. In 2021, Panda associates across the country celebrated by hosting events for more than 100 local Clubs, providing youth yummy meals, fun games, books, Panda swag and sports equipment to kick off the back-to-school season with joy and fun!
This year, BGCA and Panda Cares will pilot and launch Panda Cares Centers of Hope in local Clubs across the country. The unique spaces will provide Club members with a fun space to focus on academics, as well as their physical, social and emotional needs, and bring them joy and hope to excel in school and realize a great future.
