Sponsor of the BGCA Honor Awards for Program Excellence since 1986

MetLife Foundation is a longtime supporter of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Since 1986, the Foundation has sponsored BGCA's Honor Awards for Program Excellence. In addition, the Foundation has provided funding for many Clubs located in public housing developments.

MetLife Foundation has committed $2 million to establish some 30 new learning centers at local Boys & Girls Clubs. Through the MetLife Foundation Leverage for Learning Fund, Boys & Girls Clubs received matching one-year grants to modify facilities, purchase computer equipment and educational supplies. Clubs also were provided training and technical assistance to implement the BGCA educational enhancement program, Project Learn.
