Every young person has the potential for a successful future, but millions of underserved kids lack the support and resources to make their dreams become a reality. That’s why Citi Foundation and Boys & Girls Clubs of America are partnering to create opportunities that ensure teens have a plan following high school and are adequately prepared to enter the workforce.
As part of its Pathways to Progress initiative, the Citi Foundation supports the Junior Staff program to provide teens with vital job experiences at their Boys & Girls Club. Teens are offered the chance to work alongside full-time Club youth development professionals to perform vital everyday activities that keep Clubs both safe and productive. To nurture the development of career paths, the program exposes teens to career development workshops, mentoring and networking.
Every day, 15 million kids leave school with no place to go.
