The Elizabeth City Boys Club opened Vince’s eyes to a whole new world of possibilities. Raised in a dysfunctional family environment, Vince did not receive much in the way of parental supervision. The Boys Club provided him with a sense of belonging he didn’t have in his life. Vince looked up to Club staff, who mentored and cared about kids. The feeling that somebody cared about him meant the world. Meeting other children from all walks of life showed Vince there was a way out of the poverty he inhabited. Vince has come far from those early days. Best known as the chairman and CEO of World Wrestling Entertainment, he has also been an announcer, commentator, film producer and occasional wrestler.
