Raised by a hardworking single mom, Tony Gonzalez looked to the Boys & Girls Club of Huntington Valley, California for a safe place to go after school and a positive learning environment. Tony’s athletic talent stood out during his teen years: in high school, he lettered in both football and basketball. Gonzalez entered the National Football League in 1997. As part of the Kansas City Chiefs, this seven-time Pro Bowl player has established himself as one of the elite offensive performers in professional football. The Club experience, says Gonzalez, taught him “how to believe in myself and follow my dreams – nothing was off limits on what I could achieve and accomplish.”
